Difficult, but Necessary

12:00pm Details will have to follow another day, but please be in prayer for Mike (and the Doctors, nurses, aides, techs, etc.). I had him admitted to a psychiatric ward tonight. Not easy to do, but somebody needs to figure something out to help us. I am thankful that Dr. Silver did not hesitate to give us a referral. Hopefully this will have a beneficial outcome. My hope is that this will allow the professionals to adjust medication and deal with the fallout since they have the knowledge and staff to handle the behavior. Tracey drove us over and after almost 5 hours, he's admitted, we're home, and now I'm going to bed. Please pray this will make a huge difference in Mike's recovery and our lives. Thank you so much.

  2. Praying for you and Mike, and all who come in contact with him. Difficult but Necessary - that speaks volumes. Jennifer, I hope that while Mike is hospitalized you're able to take some time for yourself. Time to vent, to rest, to take long walks, have a glass of wine, read a book. For me that would mean screaming at the sky while downing chardonnay and Cheetos but I lack your grace.

    Sending you love

  7. TBI patients are so unpredictable and can be so dangerous when family members, such as yourself, try to maintain them at home. I have been in the medical field long enough to know that you should release this burden and allow yourself peace Jennifer. God knows you've done more than most would have ever even attempted. I will fervently pray for you and your family as I know everyone is affected differently. Love, Amy Cooper
